Annual Report

Our 2009 Annual Report highlights many of Aim High’s achievements over the past year including our financial stewardship and 2009 funders.

Aim High has maintained balanced budgets for every one of its previous 24 years of operation. In 2009, 40% of our funding came from foundations, 30% from individuals, 15% from corporations, 12% from public agencies, and 2.5% from independent school partners. We are proud of our fiscal responsibility and the trust we have earned from our donors, supporters and constituents.

In 2009, Aim High piloted new curriculum in math and science, and maintained our commitment to serve new and returning students despite significant economic challenges. In 2009, our 24th summer, Aim High served nearly 1,100 students at 11 sites.

The students we serve reflect the diversity of the Bay Area with a blend of cultures and ethnicities. 44% of our students are Asian, 31% Latino, 17% African-American, and 7% identify themselves as multi-racial.
