AIM HIGH YOUTH COUNCIL – APPLICATION FORM
DUE DATE: APRIL 4TH, 2008

Eligibility: Aim High is looking for 9 Aim High students and graduates who are entering grades 9 – 12, in the fall of 2008. You are encouraged to apply IF: you are interested in gaining leadership and civic engagement experience; you have the time required to dedicate to the youth council; and you are committed and willing to work in a team environment.

Time Commitment: Participants of the Aim High Youth Council must be able to commit to a 12-month term of service, beginning in May of 2008. AHYC will meet a minimum of once a month for about 2 hours at the Aim High Central Office (2030 Harrison Street, 3rd Floor, between 16th and 17th Streets) unless otherwise agreed upon by Council Members. 
Council members must be available to attend the mandatory Leadership Workshop in the Marin Headlands on Saturday, May 31st.  Aim High will provide transportation to and from the Marin Headlands.

Benefits: As a member of the Aim High Youth Council, you will gain experience and training through your work on some cool projects:

Application Process: Please complete all sections of the application, answer all of the supplemental questions,  and sign and date the application by no later than April 4th , 2008. Please be sure to get your parent/guardian to sign and date the application as well if you are under the age of 18. Once applications have been received, they will be reviewed and you will be contacted for an interview. Interviews will be held during the month of April 2008.  If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
