Aim High Summer

Are you in middle school and looking for something fun and interesting to do this summer?
Aim High is just what you are looking for!

The 411:
Aim High’s summer program has been around for over 20 years and has locations in San Francisco, Oakland and East Palo Alto.

This five-week summer program is tuition-free and gives you an opportunity to make new friends, learn new things and explore new places.  Tuition-free means that there is no cost to any of our Aim High families.  Aim High even provides all of the supplies that you will need in the classroom, lunch and snacks!

Did you say learning?  Yes, at Aim High you will have four classes, Math, Science, Humanities and Issues and Choices.  I know what you are thinking, “Aim High sounds like regular school!”  The only way that Aim High is like regular school is that your day begins at 8:15 AM and ends at 3:15 PM.  At Aim High learning is fun!  You learn by participating in projects and activities.  In each of your classrooms you will have about 16 students and two or three teachers.  That means that you will receive lots of attention.  And, some of your teachers will be high school and college students that participated in the Aim High program when they were in middle school.  That’s cool for two reasons.  You get to work with leaders that are close to your age and when you finish the Aim High program you can apply to come back and work there.

After lunch you will participate in activities of your choice.  Maybe out-door sports, cooking, yearbook, knitting, trail running, city tours, bike repair, and much more.  Did I mention the fieldtrips and cultural celebrations?
