High School Opportunities

Through Student Leaders®, Bank of America recognizes high school students who lead and serve in their own communities and beyond. We connect Student Leaders to tools and resources to help make communities better.

To become a Student Leader, you must:

  • Currently be a junior or senior in high school
  • Be able to participate in an 8-week paid internship at a local nonprofit organization and work 35 hours a week
  • Be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship through the end of September 2021
  • Be able to participate in a week-long Student Leaders Summit in Washington, DC (Summer 2021) (All expenses paid. This week will be part of your 8-week experience.) Note: in-person events will be in line with local and national guidelines around gatherings and travel and may be subject to change
  • Be a student in good standing at your school
  • Obtain a letter of recommendation from your teacher, counselor, or school administrator
  • Reside in one of the eligible listed markets (more information on this on their website)

Youth in Pre Med is a program that gives youth the opportunity to learn about medicine. They aim to help youth get involved in the community through volunteer opportunities. They can also connect youth to various STEM programs. They hope that by immersing youth in medicine at a younger age, they can be better prepared to pursue a career in medicine.

Yup is a 24/7 on-demand math tutoring app.

Here’s how it works!

Snap a picture of your math problem and connect with an expert tutor within 1 minute.

Spend as much time as you need to work with your tutor, whether that’s 15 minutes or a few hours.

Use Yup when you’re stuck on homework, preparing for a test, or need help understanding a concept. Sign up here. 

RRRComputer.org is an Oakland non-profit that facilitates access to technology and education for K-12 students from low-income communities in the Bay Area

The Eva Gunther Foundation provides a Fellowship program for teenage girls (ages 11 to 18). In giving these Fellowships of up to $2,000, they are empowering young motivated women to overcome circumstances and follow their passions. Learn more here.
