Aim High students experienced an unforgettable Career Day when they visited the Golden State Warriors Corporate Headquarters in downtown Oakland this summer. Rising seventh grade student toured the workspace, took pictures with trophies, and even played some ball on the Warriors’ official practice court. Students also had the pleasure of chatting with Warriors PA announcer Matt Hurwitz and former NBA player Adonal Foyle who is known for his unconventional route to athletic fame by attending Colgate University, a small liberal arts college, instead of a top basketball college. Foyle spoke with students about the importance of education, believing in themselves, and following their own path.
It was a really fun day because I like the Warriors. I wish that others could’ve had a chance to have the fun we had.Seventh Grade Student
