Thanks to our generous partners at the Warriors Community Foundation, Aim High students watched an exciting game at Oracle Arena between California rivals, the Golden State Warriors and L.A. Clippers. The Warriors beat the Clippers 114-98 when they played each other on March 23.
Twenty tickets were generously donated to Aim High from the Foundation, which strategically funds education and youth development initiatives around the Bay Area. Suzy Garren, Regional Program Manager for the East Bay, organized the event. A hot commodity, tickets were offered to rising ninth graders at the East Oakland Campus where they will be the first graduating class of the site this summer. Students were invited to bring family members.
Site Directors, Benjie Achtenberg and Alyssa Pandolfi, hosted the event. Both have previously worked at Aim High, but this will be their time directing in East Oakland. The game doubled as a fun outing as well as a meet-and-greet for students, families, and their new site directors.
Aim High loves sports! Read about how nine of our students took the field at AT&T Park last summer thanks to Bank of America.
