Aim High is honored to announce that for the second time we have received the Excellence in Summer Learning Award from the National Summer Learning Association (NSLA). We join five other organizations in receiving this distinction, chosen from 150 applicants nationwide.
Aim High is the first organization in the history of the award to win the honor twice—a distinction so new that NSLA created the title ‘Legacy Award’ just for us. We are proud and humbled to continue the critical work of making summer learning joyful and accessible for thousands of young people.
This award validates our thoughtful growth and evolution since 2006 when we last received the award. Each step forward is forged with intention and balanced by the roots of our past; we know where we’re going because we know where we’ve been.
“Thanks to innovative programs like our award winners and finalists, so many kids are trying new things and having fun while they’re learning. When school starts again in September, they’ll be ready to rock and roll without missing a beat,” said Matthew Boulay, founder and CEO of the National Summer Learning Association. “Aim High is a leader in the field, and an example of constant improvement.”
As an organization, we strive to put our C.O.R.E. values (Community, Opportunity, Respect, and High Expectations) into practice every day. We are grateful for our passionate community of educators, students, alumni, staff, trustees, volunteers, donors, and partners who exemplify these values, too. You have made this success possible. Thank you.
