Each day, participants take ‘trips’ to meet with SF-based civic leaders, artists, and tech innovators. After the program concludes, students are encouraged to lead their own post-trip projects, which are supported by Davis Projects for Peace. The free, competitive program is resume-boosting and encourages its students to make a difference in their own city.
This summer, participants chatted with David Clifford, founder of the forward-thinking Design School X in the East Bay, and Rebecca Hong, a Lick-Wilmerding teacher and one of Aim High’s newest site directors! The Intersection SF blog published a post reflecting on these conversations, and Aim High was mentioned! What I took out of Rebecca’s description of Aim High is that education is highly valued, and the success of every student (regardless of their background) is Aim High’s priority.
