In a recession economy that has made fundraising challenging, Aim High is proud to announce that we will continue to serve students at 6 sites in San Francisco, 2 sites in Oakland, 2 sites on the Peninsula, and – new in 2010 – 2 sites in Marin.
In San Rafael, the Crossroads summer program at Marin Academy will become part of the Aim High family and continue to serve youth from that city’s Canal District. In Marin City, Aim High will launch a new site at Martin Luther King Middle School.
Generous funding from the Marin Community Foundation and leadership gifts from Patrick and Marney Tenney, Larry and Diane Rosenberger, and many supporters in the Marin community have made this expansion possible, as has the leadership of Glenn Shannon, Anne Mathieson, Colin Lind and Tim Geraghty.
In a few weeks, Aim High will open the doors to more than 1,000 students for our 25th summer in the Bay Area, including 90 students in Marin County.
