Independent Learning
Our Humanities class fosters literacy and critical thinking by exploring current issues. Students will develop a love for being lifelong learners and readers.
Students collaborate, read, and discuss diverse texts (e.g. short stories, news articles, graphic novels) to develop informed opinions, devise solutions, and address community challenges.
The final product will allow students to demonstrate their learning in a meaningful way to showcase their skills in writing and literacy in various projects and assignments.
In the long term, our goal is to build students’ confidence, broaden their perspectives, and prepare them for success in college and beyond.
