Aim High is designed for current 5th – 8th middle school students who come from low-income households or have limited access to summer enrichment. Our no-cost summer program ignites a love of learning and prepares students for success in high school and beyond.
Aim High students will participate in an exciting in-person program where students feel confident and safe to be themselves. Our five-week program keeps students active, learning and connected to their classmates and teachers all summer long. Students will try new things, attend field trips, learn about college planning and have fun.

Throughout the summer students build literacy, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with weekly STEAM challenges and our Aim High Book Club. They also develop college and career awareness, researching their options and setting goals for the future.
Our inclusive community thrives in daily morning circles and weekly assemblies where students and educators play games and team challenges. We create safe, supportive spaces in our signature Issues and Choices class, where students address challenges of identity, peer pressure, bullying and more.

We challenge students to get active every day, focusing on their own well-being as they try new things and learn skills in non-academic settings. Our engaging activity mix includes dance, sports, yoga, art classes and walking meditation. Students can participate in activities with community partners which in the past had been Women’s Audio Mission, Camp EdMo and A.C.T. Every Friday students will attend field trips to museums, parks and outdoor sports.
