In 2012, Aim High’s staff, faculty members and student participants are reflecting on Aim High’s CORE Values (Community, Opportunity, Respect, and High Expectations.)
Community: Diversity, teamwork and celebrating differences are acknowledged and rewarded at Aim High.
Opportunity: Personal growth, leadership skills, and taking healthy risks are encouraged at Aim High.
Respect: Valuing differences, supporting and encouraging each other, and showing kindness are integral components of how Aim High creates a safe and nurturing environment.
High Expectations: At Aim High, we set ambitious goals, take ownership of our actions, and are motivated and ready to try new things.
All the Aim High campuses are collecting nominations of students, teachers, and volunteers who did something that exemplifies one of our CORE Values. CORE Awards are given out on a daily or weekly basis to these CORE Value superstars. This year there is a campus-wide CORE Olympics competition for teams of Aim High students and teachers who create projects that show CORE Values in action. You can follow the CORE Olympics on our blog as we begin highlighting some of the winners. Be sure to comment on how you see CORE Values in action at Aim High.
