Our STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) curriculum focuses on how these real-world subjects affect our everyday lives and play a vital role in the future. From algebra to aerodynamics, coding to climate change, our hands-on, standards-aligned curriculum gets students immersed in—and inspired by—STEAM.
More than just reading and writing (although there’s plenty of that, too), Aim High’s humanities curriculum gives students context about the full scope of human experience. Exploring issues they can relate to—the American Dream, immigration, social justice—students learn new ways to understand and express the ideas that shape history and their world today.
The focus of this empowering class is our students’ own lives. Kids tackle issues of identity, stereotyping, body image, peer pressure, and more, gaining crucial perspective and tools to address the challenges of middle school. The curriculum also covers high school readiness, college options, and career awareness to help students plan for the future.
Our afternoon enrichment activities unlock new worlds for Aim High students. Through options like Latin dance, looming, kayaking, photography, soccer, museum field trips, and college campus visits, kids can find lifelong passions and enjoy experiences outside their usual choices.
